Our Cabin is brand new as of the end of August 2017. My place is close to Ski Sugar (2 miles), Ski Beech (6 miles), Grandfather Mtn, Boone, Blowing Rock, Tweetsie Railroad, Blue Ridge Parkway. You’ll love my place because it`s Nested in the Lush surroundings of the Blue Ridge Mtns. Our cabin offers all the comforts of your own home combined with the beauty and serenity of the Blue Ridge Mountains.
This cabin was constructed and finished August 2017. This a spacious 600 sq foot 1 bedroom cabin. Beautifully decorated with Elk decor. It is easy accessible and not far from area activities and restaurants. It has a gas log stove. It’s beautifully maintained and comfortable for 2 people. there is 1 king bed and 32” smart TV in the bedroom. Gorgeous tile shower, Fully stocked kitchen open to the living room. The living room has 50` smart TV, reclining theater seats. There is also a fire pit and charcoal grill located to the left of the cabin. We provide sheets, towels (2), wash cloths (2), hand towels (2), and a starter kit of soap, dish detergent, wash detergent, paper products, trash bags.****AS OF APRIL 2021 WE WILL NO LONGER HAVE HOT TUBS. THIS HAS BEEN A HARD DECISION KNOWING GUESTS REALLY ENJOY THEM BUT NOT ALL GUESTS FOLLOW THE SPA RULES AND THE COST OF UP KEEP IS TOO HIGH TO KEEP OUR RATES LOW****

We live nearby and want all our guests to know we personally take care of our cabins and are available to assist with any issues that may arise. Please let us know if any problems arise or you find our cabin unsatisfactory. We want to take care of things immediately to make your stay great.
The cabin sits on 8 acres of private property out a paved rural road. There are other one bedroom cabins (Little Bear cabin, Mountaineer cabin and Country Bumpkin cabin) on the same property and are within walking distance of each other. We are Walnut Tree Log Cabin Rentals in Banner Elk NC. Look up our name on the web and check out all the cabins we have to offer.
4x4 IS REQUIRED to get up the driveway when there is snow. The steep part is a short distance so there is space to park below the cabin on the flat part if you do not have a 4x4. Please ask us where to park. We prefer you come prepared to drive in the snow with either chains or 4x4. There will be times when one of those are needed to go anywhere in the area.
Please do not request an early check in or late check out. We have several cabins to clean and usually have several in a day. We like to be sure that all cabins are ready by 3pm. Thank you!
We do allow one night stays during the week last minute or between odd bookings.
We allow pets with a $50 fee. Please know that we do our best to clean up pet hair left behind but you may still see pet hair. If this will bother you please don’t book with us.
