Located in Allisonia on the New River, the Lodge is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood about 10 miles
(15 to 20 minutes) from Claytor Lake State Park, around 18 miles (25 minutes) from Radford
University in Radford, and roughly 27 miles (35 to 40 minutes) from Virginia Tech and downtown
Blacksburg.
The property is adjacent to the New River Trail and the New River. Direct access to the New River
Trail is down a private 100 ft trail at the side of the property. Access to the river is by public boat
ramps approximately one mile downstream in Allisonia, and 10 miles upstream in Foster Falls - with
some access for tubing available between these two points.
The home, shed, contents, and yard are all available for guest use; some closets are locked for homeowner use. More than a vacation rental, this is a home. Please enjoy all the amenities and handle with care.
The River Trail Lodge features three levels of comfortable living space with plenty of amenities to enjoy your stay. The main living area on the second level features the living room with Roku TV, convenient half bath, a dining area, and the fully equipped kitchen with both a regular coffee maker and Keurig. There is a sliding door from the living room to a deck with views of the river area and surrounding hills. Also on this floor is the primary bedroom with a king bed and ensuite bathroom that includes a walk in shower and clawfoot tub.
Upstairs, the third level has two large guest bedrooms. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and a full over full bunk bed. Bedroom 3 has two queen beds and a twin captain’s bed. The closets in these two bedrooms contain extra bedding, air mattresses, and a Pack-n-Play. The bedrooms share a full hallway bathroom with a tub/shower combo
The first level has a game room with a Roku TV, foosball
table, darts, ping pong table, dry bar, and small fridge. There is a sliding door opening to a patio and
a fire pit. Bedroom 4 is on this level with a queen bed and its own ensuite bathroom with a walk-in
shower and clawfoot soaking tub.
Outside, guests can enjoy use of the gas grill deck, patio, yard, and surrounding area. An assortment of bicycles, kayaks, tubes, a canoe, and life jackets are stored in the shed and available for guest use.
