Perfect Lakefront home for a Smoky Mountain vacation!
Knasgowa (Cherokee word for Blue Heron) is one of the most serene places on the lake less than 30 minutes from Great Smoky Mountain National Park. Recently renovated, this 2400 square ft. home sits on 8 acres of property overlooking the Smokey Mountains and Douglas Lake. On the peninsula, you can relax in a rocking chair on the wrap around porch and see water on all sides. The home features a gentle slope to the seasonal water (mid-April – mid-September) with its own private dock featuring sun deck, swim platform, and covered boat slip so you can play on the water all day. At night, take a break in the 7 person hot tub located on the screened in porch with a new gas grill and furniture or relax in the Adirondack chairs on the patio
and roast marshmallows in the fire-pit.
This home has beautiful hard wood floors throughout, open ceilings, woodwork and a custom built staircase that is a real beauty. The home was professionally designed and decorated by Lelia Canter.
The property has all the family activities you need with Foosball table, video game console table, Big Buck Hunter arcade game, new furniture, flat screen tvs in every room, WiFi, patio with fire-pit, new counter-tops and appliances in the kitchen, new rocking chairs, new Adirondack chairs, and all new sheets and towels – it’s fully equipped with everything you need to relax and enjoy the lake.
With 3 bedrooms and a modular couch you can comfortably sleep 8 guests. The Master Suite is located on the main level and has a wonderful jetted tub for total relaxation. The home has garden doors in the Master Suite that open to the covered front porch where there are rockers and serene views.
The home is surrounded by decking on 3 sides and provides for lake and mountain views in every direction. This home has everything you need for a memorable family vacation.
