Summary: We booked two rooms for two nights, we found both rooms to be a bit tired decoratively but more annoyingly for one room some of the bathroom lights where not working, there was no heating and no fridge. When this was reported to reception first of all no action was carried out , the following day this was reported again and this time maintenance looked at the issues but stated they couldn’t fix them! An alternative room was offered but this was declined as they were unpacked and checking out the next morning. Guests should be aware that parking is an additional cost at £9.20 per day not £7 as stated by email, given the room rates I believe this is unreasonable . Final note is you cannot add services/purchases to your room all must be paid for at time of purchase, I found this unusual! I should add that the stay was to celebrate our wives 60th birthdays, we did communicate this to the hotel and as a result we received a box of 4 chocolates in one of our rooms with a post card. My overall impression from our stay was that it was good but could have been much better with more customer focus.
