Our 'Misty Mountain' cabin retreat is a home away from home. Secluded at the end of a gravel road 2,400 feet high up on Ammons mountain in the Clarks Chapel community of Franklin. You will surround yourself with nature, wildlife, and relaxation. Our cabin can comfortably accommodate two families and sleeps 6 people with one master bedroom with king bed, one guest bedroom with a queen bed, and an upstairs loft with two twin beds. This recently renovated home has native hardwood floors throughout, two full bathrooms upstairs and downstairs, and a huge 750 square foot wraparound deck that peers over the mountain edge. In addition there is a gas fireplace, internet, cable TV and firepit out back. Four wheel drive or all wheel drive is highly recommended. Due to the gravel roads motorcycles are not permitted. If you are looking for a mountain retreat or a family vacation, this has it all. Grab a drink and enjoy a sunset dinner on the deck.

If you love hiking, white water rafting, shopping, or just sitting on the deck and soaking up the view, it is here for you. The white water rafting is some of the best in the country -- hit the Nantahala, Ocoee, or Tuskegee rivers or tackle the class five rapids of the Chattooga. There are incredible fishing opportunities in the rivers, streams and creeks near the cabin, and are only minutes away from numerous waterfall hiking trails throughout the Great Smoky Mountains. New to town is the Smoky Mountains Performing Arts Center -- a 1,500 seat state-of-the-art facility presenting the finest in performing arts to Franklin and its surrounding towns.

Owned by the Vanderbilt family, the Biltmore Estate is the largest privately owned residence in North America.
